Privacy

This covers The Card Place app for iPhone and iPad, and the card games on The Card Place website. Last updated October 8, 2026.

The app

The Card Place app collects no data. It never connects to the network, so nothing you do in it leaves your device. There are no accounts, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking.

The app remembers the name you play under, your pace and focus settings, and the rules you chose for each game, so they're the same next time. These are stored only on your device, for the app alone. Deleting the app deletes them.

If you share crash reports or usage data with app developers in your device's settings, Apple may pass anonymous crash reports on to us. That is Apple's choice to offer and yours to make; the app adds nothing to it.

The web games

The games on the website run in your browser and send nothing anywhere until you open a table with other people. From then on they send your moves and the name you chose, and nothing else. A table is a five-letter code that stops existing when everybody leaves.

Your settings for the web games, such as the name you play under, are saved in your own browser so they are there next time. They are not sent anywhere.
