My Work
My Work answers “what on GitHub needs me?”: the open issues and pull requests, in every repository, where:
- your review is requested,
- you are assigned,
- you opened the pull request,
- you opened the issue,
- you are mentioned.
They come in that order, most recently updated first within each, and each is listed once, under the first reason that applies: a pull request you are asked to review and also mentioned in is a review request. Archived repositories are left out.
Open it by choosing My Work in the repository list,
after Notifications, with Ctrl+Shift+M
(Cmd+Shift+M on a Mac), or from View → View Mode →
My Work. It takes five searches, so a few seconds;
R asks again. GitHub allows 30 searches a minute, so if you
refresh a lot, one kind may fail to load; the status bar names it and
the rest still show. The status bar adds it up, for example “My Work —
36 open: 14 review requested, 15 assigned, 7 your pull request”. Each
kind lists up to 100; a kind with more is marked with a +, and a search
(Ctrl+Shift+F) with the same terms finds the rest.
Each row reads why it is on the list, whether it is an issue or a pull request, its number, title, repository and when it last changed. The details panel adds the description.
